Graduate Systems Development Engineer

We have a full time opening for a C# programmer with a keen interest in science and engineering to fulfil a secondary role as an assistant product designer.  Your primary role will be to continue the development programme of our existing equipment data acquisition and control software, which requires experience of LINQ, interfaces, custom types, custom event handlers and threading.  In your secondary role, you will be involved in the design of our new nano-particle measuring system which will include working with lasers, optical fibers and photon counting modules.  Knowledge of 3D modelling tools such as SpaceClaim or SolidWorks will be an advantage, as would some experience of mechanical design.

We expect you will have just graduated with a Masters in Physics, Mathematics or Mechanical Engineering, however we invite you to apply if you have your degree in Chemistry or a computing related discipline.  Most of all, we expect you to work hard and get involved in an interesting and varied role within our small company.

Working hours are 37.5 per week on a flexible basis with 4 weeks paid holiday plus statutory days.

If you are interested in applying contact ken.cunningham@avidnano.com for more information.
